GL Periods

SETUP -> GL Periods

General Ledger periods used in the Financials module.

  • Description - period description, eg January 2020.
  • Short desc. - eg Jan 20.
  • Period start date - start date of period.
  • Period end date - end date of period.
  • Financial year
  • Month in financial year - month in financial year as a number, eg 4.
  • Month start date - calendar start date of month.
  • Year start period - period that is the first period for the financial year.
  • Open for debtors? - untick once the period is closed for debtors.
  • Open for creditors? - untick once the period is closed for creditors.
  • Open for GL? - untick once the period is closed for GL.
Tip

When you add a new record, the fields will automatically default to the "next" GL period based on the last one.
