GL Accounts

SETUP -> GL Accounts

This is your financial chart of accounts heirarchy used in the Financials module.

• Description
• Code
• Level of detail - may be used on reports to roll up values for units with a greater level of detail than is desired for the report. 1 = highest level, 2 = next level, etc.
• Profit / balance - used for Profit and Loss report or Balance sheet.
• Debit / credit - is it debit or credit?
• Parent account - parent GL account, gives the heirarchy.
• Active? - untick if no longer used which will hide in lookup lists.

Control accounts

Setup the GL account relevant to each of the following categories:

• Creditors
• Creditors tax
• Debtors
• Debtors tax
• Grower advances
• Grower finals
• Retained earnings
• Shipping

Exchange gains/losses:

• Bank unrealised
• Creditors realised
• Creditors unrealised
• Debtors realised
• Debtors unrealised
• Other unrealised
