SETUP -> Currencies

The currencies you trade in.

• Code - generally 3 characters, eg NZD.
• Description
• Symbol - symbol to print in front of any currency values, eg NZ$.
• Invoice footer - prints at the bottom of the Sale invoice in addition to any Customer invoice footers setup in SETUP -> Vendors
• Active? - untick if no longer used which will hide in lookup lists.

Trading rates

You can specify what exchange rates to use for periods of time if you don't want to use floating rates.

• From - the date this rate applies from until now or the next record date.
• Use spot rate? - tick to use the floating exchange rates that have been imported, otherwise enter a rate below.
• Rate - exchange rate to use, only visible if Use spot rate? was not ticked.

Note

snapSales imports floating exchange rates each night from an online service openexchangerates.org.

A graph will display on this screen showing the floating rates vs any trading rates entered.
