Packing plan

LOGISTICS -> Packing plan

Allows you to instruct the packer(s) what product to pack.

  • Description - give the packing plan a name.
  • Start date - start pack date.
  • Packer - name of packhouse from SETUP -> Vendors where Packer? is ticked.
  • Variety - variety to pack.
  • Storage type - storage type.
  • Instructions - any further instructions.

Products

Add products by pressing the Add button. Once added, you can edit the fields directly in the grid.

  • Products - select products to include in your packing plan. Use filters to select the products you require then press Next. The following fields will apply to all the products you have selected but can be altered individually in the grid.
  • Priority - this is the order of packing if there are similar products, lowest number being the highest priority.
  • Fruit label detail - optional PLU detail. This is free text, the dropdown is based on previously entered values.
  • Customer suitability - optional customer suitablility.
  • Pallet type - required, enter the pallet type.
  • # pallets - enter the number of pallets required or leave blank if there is no limit.
  • Tray type - optional tray type. This is free text, the dropdown is based on previously entered values.
  • Markets - optional. Enter the market(s) the product is to be packed for.
  • Notes - any notes for this product.

Packing plan report

Once complete, you can preview this report from the Reports menu. Use the Send e-mail option to email this report to the packer. This will open a draft email with the following

  • Recipients come from the email address of the Packer (in SETUP -> Vendors)
  • Body message – defaults to “Please see attached”, change the default in SETUP -> System, "PackingPlanEmailBody" setting
  • Attachment will be the Packing plan report

The email history will show at the bottom of the page

Tip

You can copy previously entered packing plans to speed up data entry.
