Payment advice (local)
FINANCIALS -> Payment advice (local)
Local market payments are often for partial sales and paid over a period of time. Use this screen to keep track on those payments and allocate them to product on a sale.
For each payment advice received, enter:
Date
- enter the date of the invoice.Vendor
- select the customer.Reference
- enter the invoice number.Notes
- any notes.
Income
Use the Add sales...
button to add sale(s) to the payment advice. This will add product lines to the list.
For each line on the invoice, enter the Qty
and Amount
against the corresponding sale product line.
The Other payments
columns will show Qty
and Amount
that have been paid on previous payment advices. There a no validations if you pay for more units than what is on the sale as a unit could have more than one payment.
Use the delete icon to remove the product line from this payment advice.
Costs
For each cost on the invoice:
Description
- a description of the cost.Amount
- cost amount.Split by unit
- select the unit type of how to distribute this cost across all product on the payment advice, ie Unit, TCE, Kg (net), Income.
Summary
Once all income and costs are entered from the payment advice, the summary at the top of the screen should balance with the payment advice.
Sale income
The values entered above are shown on the Sale's Income tab
. There is a Payment advices
column (hidden by default so use the column chooser to add) that will show the payment advice values (income less costs). Click on this cell to view the payment advices that make up this amount. From here you can:
- Click on a row to take you to the payment advice screen
- Once all units have been paid for this income line, click on the
Set total expected to Net
button to transfer this amount intoTotal expected
. - If you want to update all sale income lines with values entered in the payment advice screen, from the Payment advice screen, select
Update sales from payments...
from the Actions menu.
